The Lateral Drift Championship Pro-Am Series is making the 2011 season bigger than ever. Nine rounds of adrenaline-pumping, engine-revving, tire-burning sideways action are scheduled this year to tour around drift venues at the Luneta Grandstand in Manila, Venice Piazza in McKinley Hill, Taguig, and the Clark International Speedway (CIS) in Pampanga.

With the growing popularity of drifting worldwide, the Philippines is set to prove that our drivers, cars, and tracks are ready for the global drifting scene. This year, more drivers are expected to compete in the series with international drivers from Guam, Japan, Malaysia, and Singapore joining in the fray. And to set the bar even higher, judges from around the Asian region will be invited to judge several rounds in this year's series.
In the effort to bring the Philippines’ drifting scene up to par with international standards, six rounds of the championship will be held at the Clark International Speedway. The purpose-built track offers a safe and controlled drifting environment that allows for a high-speed action-packed event. The track's long straights and wide sweeping corners gave last year's drifters a new challenge and will be making this year's championship a lot tougher.

For rounds staged in Metro Manila, two will be held at the newly opened Venice Piazza open parking area at McKinely Hill, Taguig where the electrifying night race battles take place. Then, round 3 will be staged at the Luneta Grandstand in Pasay City back to back with the premier of the Fast and the Furious 5 movie.

The 2011 Lateral Drift Championship Pro-Am Series will be officially launched at the 7th Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) happening in April at the World Trade Center, Pasay City. And to highlight the event, the best Filipino drifters will perform a special drift demo during the launch.
