In case you didn't know, PMS stands for Preventive Maintenance Service. Unlike the other popular meaning of the three-lettered acronym, this one is only full of TLC. It's what keeps our cars in tip top shape and running perfectly just like the very first day we drove it home. And now, Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI) is making PMS an even more enjoyable experience for their most beloved customers.

Starting April 29, 2013, select Hyundai dealerships nationwide will offer Hyundai Jet Service Premium - the fastest and most cutting-edge Preventive Maintenance Service EVER. Their newest service offering guarantees a 60-minute PMS lead time, or it's free.

Now on its third consecutive year, Sunshine STV is once again all geared-up to go for the 2012 edition of the Auto Rally Corporate Challenge (ARCC) this Saturday, March 3. This year's competition has left the beautiful roads of Subic and moved to a fresh new venue in Clark Freeport Zone, Pampanga. But as always, “on time, all the time” still remains to be the name of the game.

Hyundai Asia Resources Inc. (HARI) takes the 2012 ARCC head-on with a fleet of four all-new Hyundai Elantra's. Heading the pack are Roadwise Motoring's Art Guevarra and Mike Reyes with Gef Buraga from the Elantra Club Philippines. The boys from Top Gear Philippines consisting of Dinzo Tabamo, Raynard Olarte, and Aeus Reyes occupy car number 2, while the jocks of Jam 88.3's Gearbox, Eric Tipan and Andre Palma, will be joined by HARI's own Adrian Santos from Brand Management in car no. 3. Of course, rounding up the pack is the all-star team of Ferman Lao representing Top Gear Philippines, 99.5RT, and Kotse.com; Wave 89.1 Racing Beat's Charlie Cruz; and yours truly.

Words by Jade Lu

Hyundai certainly gave their pampered patrons a taste of the good life at the “One Hyundai Club: Life in Style” event last January 14, 2012 at the Glorietta Activity Center in Makati. It was a fair of fashion, style, food, and wellness and a celebration of being a proud Hyundai owner.

The festivities included food tasting, a candy buffet, a fashion show, on-the-spot makeovers, and wall climbing, just to name a few. But if those weren’t enough to rouse the crowd, Hyundai raffled off prizes by the hour. And to make thing even better, the grand prizes of a trip for two to South Korea and a Special Edition i10 were up for grabs in the raffle. The event also highlighted the launch of the special One Hyundai Club Life in Style 2012 Journal, which not only features chronicles by renowned journalists and editors but also serves as a log for the experiences that a One Hyundai Club (OHC) member would expect.

*UPDATE*
Instead of the "Accent Run", HARI has renamed the event to the "Hyundai Run" to celebrate its 10th Anniversary and will now be held at the Quirino Grandstand in Manila on April 2, 2011. For more info, read our story on the Hyundai Run by clicking on the link.

Realizing that cars, people, and the planet can thrive and coexist in one dynamic and sustainable biodiversity, Hyundai Asia Resources, Incorporated (HARI), the authorized distributor of Hyundai automobiles in the Philippines and a leading manufacturer of eco-environmental cars today, calls in all impassioned university students and eco-warriors to join in on its endearing drive for a green tomorrow

Declaring a new collective advocacy for a greener and more progressive future, HARI will lead the first-ever eco-fun run in the country dubbed “The Hyundai Accent Run: An All-New Way to Play” on April 2, 2011 at the Bonifacio Global City in Taguig, converging hundreds of students from Metro Manila’s topmost universities and nature buffs alike in one youth-oriented movement to increase awareness about eco-motoring and promote the companies’ nationwide advocacy for a cleaner and environmentally-stable future.

Envisioned to create a fresh new generation of responsible motorists among the country’s future leaders, the Hyundai Accent Run makes a daring shift of perspective about the auto industry, instilling in the minds of the youth the possibility that even a car company can also make a positive impact on the environment through its long-term partnership with Haribon Foundation, one of the nation’s most active environmental group and through its newly-launched fuel-efficient compact sedan, the All-New Hyundai Accent.

Korean tour de force | 2008 Hyundai Veracruz

Words and photos by Eric Ayrton S. Soriano

My first intimate encounter with a Hyundai occurred on the driver’s seat of its austere entry-level subcompact sedan last year. I wasn’t really impressed by the interior appointments of the Accent econo-car. That, plus Korean cars’ old reputation as cheaper but great-value alternatives to the Japanese mass-market brands, left me with modest expectations of the entire Hyundai lineup.

Test-driving the Hyundai Veracruz and experiencing its remarkable fit, finish, and build quality in an opulent package was therefore quite a surprise to me. The more kilometers I logged on the seven-seater crossover, more of its stellar qualities shined through. It was like falling in love at first sight with your gorgeous blind date and later on discovering that she has great dancing, culinary, and athletic skills; a fantastic sense of humor; and a pure heart that nevertheless doesn’t keep her from turning on her naughty side. She may have a few imperfections such as a tad too much hair above her upper lip but you overlook those because like the Veracruz, all her other fine qualities outweigh these.
