It was only a few weeks ago when the Asian Carmakers Corporation (ACC), the official importer and distributor of BMW in the Philippines, introduced their newest ownership program called FlexiLease.
ACC describes it as “an operating lease program that offers flexibility for companies and individuals who want to experience sheer driving pleasure at the most convenient way possible.” It does this by offering “low initial cash-out and monthly rates and drive a brand new BMW vehicle every two or three years depending on the lease term applied for.”
But seriously, is it really better than paying cash outright? Think about it, after paying two or three years in lease, you don't get to keep the car. That left us with the question: “What's the point?” Thankfully, ACC Marketing Manager Karl Magsuci took time off from his busy schedule to explain to us how FlexiLease really works.

Yeah, you don't have to tell us that it's the middle of summer. We can feel the scorching heat too. So what does the country's sole all-BMW car show do to host their 10th year anniversary? Rent a huge ass air-conditioned tent in the heart to Alabang, of course! This way, all visitors can bask not in the heat, but in the passion of everything BMW.
Bimmerfest X, the 10th annual all-BMW car show hosted by the BMW Car Club of the Philippines (BMWCCP), sizzled last May 4, 2013 at the Filinvest Tent in Alabang. And doing what they do best, this year's show focused on BMW's two most famous tag lines: “The Ultimate Driving Machine” and “Joy.”

The BMW Car Club of the Philippines is celebrating something monumental this year. That's because the only official BMW club in the country recognized by BMW AG is hosting Bimmerfest X - their 10th annual all-BMW car show.
For some, BMW is just a car brand that represents a certain lifestyle of affluence. But for these guys, it represents passion, performance, camaraderie, and most importantly, joy. So from 10 am to 9 pm on May 4, 2013 at the Filinvest Tent, Filinvest City in Alabang, visit Bimmerfest X so you too can be part of the BMW experience.
Now on its 10th year, this will be the first time for Bimmerfest to be held indoor, showcasing one of the biggest collection of cars by far. To be exact, they're expecting about 100 BMWs to be on display. And for this year, the BMW Owners' Society of Safe Riders will join in the fray to display their own BMW motorbikes.

boss_01After riding 24 hours non-stop on a 1,200 gruelling kilometer loop around Luzon, only 160 of the 250 starters successfully crossed the finished line on January 15, 2012 at the 7th edition of the BOSS Ironman Challenge. Organized by the BMW Owners Society of Saferiders (BOSS), the only club in the Philippines recognized by the BMW Clubs International Council, the Ironman Challenge is not a race, but there is undeniably an unspoken achievement to finish at the final stop in first. Still, finishing the 1,200 kilometer jounrney proves to be equally satisfying.
The Asian Carmakers Corporation (ACC), the official importer and distributor of BMW vehicles and BMW Motorrad in the Philippines, awarded the finishers of the challenge. In the car category, Elbert Cuenca in a diesel powered BMW X1 was the first to reach the destination with a total time of 14 hours and 19 minutes - a welcome improvement over his second place finish last year in a gasoline powered X1. Meanwhile, Joey Almeda, Enteng Gonzales, Max Kienle, Hubert Soriano, and Nani Pascoguin were the first four riders to arrive in the motorcycle category. All four men were riding BMW R1200 GS Adventure's, except for Nani who was on a S1000 RR.

boss_bmwThe upcoming BOSS Ironman Challenge VII gets a kick start for 2012 as the Asian Carmakers Corporation (ACC), the Philippine distributor of BMW, and Autohaus BMW formally sign a deal to back the annual cross-country event. Organized by the BMW Owners Society of Saferiders (BOSS), the 2012 edition of the BOSS Ironman Challenge will officially take off on the eve of January 14, 2012 at the Balintawak Home Depot and tour around 11 provinces in Luzon non-stop to cover over 1,200 kilometers on two-wheels within 24 hours.
What began as a simple adventure run in 2006 has now turned into an annual endurance challenge with over 300 competitors from all walks of life. A rider's skill is put to the test, as they must navigate through the designated route and stretch the limits of physical endurance in this 24-hour bike race. It's also a great opportunity for them to meet other riding enthusiasts from all over the country and enjoy the beautiful sights of North Luzon. And due to the event's success, the BOSS Ironman Challenge has opened its entries to car enthusiasts as well.
