After a grand 20th year celebration in 2011, the Philippines' oldest-running car show is returning to its rightful home this year as Tradeshow International and Phoenix Petroleum Philippines set the stage for the 21st Trans Sport Show on April 18 to 22, 2012 at the Megatrade Hall in SM Megamall.

Staying true to its principle of being a “Car Show for Enthusiasts by Enthusiasts,” the organizers of the Trans Sport Show raised the bar by choosing only the best of the best cars in its competition. The 21st Phoenix Trans Sport Show Cup will have a total of 15 categories, with two major awards - Best of Show Nostalgic (vintage and classic cars) and Best of Show Contemporary (new cars) - judged by a panel that includes veteran Osamu Hasegawa with Eddie Salonga, Boyer Kalugdan, John Escobar, Nilo Escalona, Pepon Marave, and George Apacible.

Show Highlights:
  • 50th Anniversary of the MGB | Display of restored MGBs, GT, and Roadster by the Manila Sports Car Club and MG Club.
  • Collecting Vintage Cars | Free seminar on how to get into the hobby and maintenance tips on April 21 (4:00 PM) by the members of the Manila Sports Car Club, Porsche Club, and Vintage Car Club.

“We have been staging this annual event since 1992, purposely to serve as a gathering of finely-restored show cars for competition. And because the show has become a breeding ground for car enthusiasts, we feel responsible for keeping their passion alive and setting the proper direction as far as car appreciation and knowledge is concerned,” said Sophie delos Santos, President of Tradeshow International.
