Trans Sport Show, the country's longest running motor show, is celebrating its 20th birthday by throwing the grandest party yet, and everyone's invited! Dubbed as the “Grand 3-Ring Motoring Event,” it brings together three of the best car shows under one roof - the 20th Trans Sport Show, the 1st Philippine Nostalgic Motor Show, and the 4th Manila Sports Car Club Concours d' Elegance. Party starts on the 26th of May and runs until the 29th at the SMX Convention Center, Mall of Asia Complex and co-presented by Phoenix Fuels Life in cooperation with Solar Auto Club.

A Milestone
Organized by TradeShow International Inc. (TSI), the 20th edition of the Trans Sport Show sets a new milestone as the longest-running car show in the country. Since its establishment in 1992 as a general automotive show, we have seen the Trans Sport Show evolve into the pinnacle of custom car shows and have now become part of the Filipino car enthusiasts' culture. Year after year, they manage to put on a show better than the last. It's a “Car Show for Enthusiasts by Enthusiasts.”

“It is amazing to meet enthusiasts who have been attending the show since 1992 - who now have children with the same interest and passion and have become Trans Sport Show patrons themselves. Trans Sport Show literally spans generations and transcends demographic boundaries, drawing car lovers from all over,” said Sophie delos Santos, TSI President.

Best of Shows
The 20th Trans Sport Show is taking a walk back through history by bringing together the show's past 13 Best of Show and Reserve Best of Show winners. The grand reunion will comprise of a 1976 Lancia Stratos, 1930 Ford Model A, 1948 Buic Roadmaster, 1957 Mercedes Benz 300SL Gullwing, 1957 Chevrolet Bel-Air, 1963 Jaguar XKE, 1970 Lamborghini Miura, 1970 Mercedes Benz 300SEL, 1964 Citroen 2CV, 1965 Ford Mustang, 1967 Toyota Corona, 1996 Honda V-Tec, and a 2002 Scion xB.

1st Philippine Nostalgic Motor Show
The 1st Philippine Nostalgic Motor Show (PNMS) will feature over 50 vintage and classic cars and motorcycles. With the advocacy of preserving automobile heritage, it will also dwell on the heritage of motorsports with a display of vintage race cars. The show expects to gather car enthusiasts of the old and new as it features some of the country's most collectible pieces such as Ford Escort's, MGB's, Mini Cooper S, Alfa Romeo Giullietta, Porsche RSR's , Lancer Box Type, and Opel Kadett.

4th Manila Sports Car Club Concours d' Elegance
Bar none, the Manila Sports Car Club (MSCC) Concours d’ Elegance is the most prestigious vintage car competition in the Philippines. Limited to only 30 of the best restored and preserved cars from the country, entries will be under strict scrutiny by experts from Hong Kong, Singapore, and Japan; led by Chief Judge Osamu Hasegawa. The classes are based on year of manufacture: Veteran (up to 1949), Vintage (1950-1959), Historic (1960-1969), and Modern (1970-1976). Judged according to condition, originality, preparation, and workmanship, the goal is to reproduce the car's condition as it first rolled off the showroom floor years ago.

MP Turbo Phoenix-Transshow Auto Rally
On a different note, MP Turbo is putting beauty and elegance aside as they gear up for competition in the Transshow Auto Rally. Open to the general public, teams of 2 to 4 members per car will compete on a pre-determined route taking them around the Cavite, Batangas, and Laguna provinces. With a goal of being “On Time, All the Time” just like the Sampaguita Rally, teams must navigate through designated checkpoints and arrive to the nearest second. In commemoration with the Trans Sport Show's 20th anniversary, the Phoenix-Transshow Auto Rally will take off on the 28th of May with the checkered flag waved on the 29th. For inquiries on the Auto Rally, contact MP Turbo at 0917-5262253 or 0917-5390055.
