Hyundai teases all-new 2013 Santa Fe ahead of debut

The great minds at Hyundai can no longer contain their excitement over the Korean automaker's upcoming crossover SUV, that's why they had to publish online teaser images of their all-new 2013 Santa Fe just to keep themselves from going crazy. And after taking a good look, we're now just as giddy as they are.
Scheduled to make its world premier at the 2012 New York International Auto Show in April, the third-generation Santa Fe is the latest model to be shaped from Hyundai's “Fluidic Sculpture” design philosophy. And to prevent it from looking like the rest of its siblings, they've adopted a new design concept called “Storm Edge”, which will also be the trend for their future SUV's. But even with all their hard work, we still think it looks like a super-sized Tucson.
Hyundai has only released front and side view photos of the all-new Santa Fe. But from these, we can already point out that it has adopted the brand's signature hexagonal grill, fitted with what looks like LED daytime running lights, and clad with a black lower body to make it appear taller. There's even a hint of a panoramic sunroof if the photos are accurate. Although we can only see bits of its posterior, the lines and tail lights do hit cues of the Audi Q5. I guess we'll just have to wait another three weeks to see the rest of Hyundai's latest crossover SUV.
The all-new Santa Fe was built around the core product concepts of “Refinement,” “Smartness,” and “Practicality.” What that means exactly is anybody's guess. All we need to know now is that its coming here in the Philippines within the year.
