FoFi fans have more reason to party on the Fiesta's first birthday as Ford gets the show on the road with the feisty Fiesta ST Concept. Powered by a turbocharged Ti-VCT 1.6-liter EcoBost engine, this hot hatch is ready to knock your socks off with its 180 horses and 240 Nm of torque. And when coupled to a manual six-speed transmission, it takes less than seven seconds in the sprint to 100 km/h and top out at 220 km/h, if you've got the balls for it. Ford has wiped the smirk off its face and replaced it with a menacing grin, transforming this humble hatchback into a scandalous sportster worthy of an ST badge.

Borrowing some styling cues from the new Focus ST, its reshaped projector headlamps and trapezoidal honeycomb grill make this conceptual Fiesta look like it’s ready to make a kill. Wheel arches have then been widened to fit 17-inch rims and a rear diffuser with twin tailpipes slapped on, letting people know it means business. And to help it go round the bends, the gremlins at Ford have lowered and tuned the suspension geometry to push it to its limits. But to make sure you don't fly off the seat of your pants, they've installed a pair of Recaro sports seats.

Making its debut at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show, the three-door Fiesta ST might still be a concept, but it appears that the blue oval brand has all intentions to push it into production sometime in the near future. Let’s just hope that it grows a pair of rear doors so that they've got no excuse to bring this little rascal into the Philippines.
