Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) has issued a voluntary recall of 22,000 units sold between 2006 and 2010 over a faulty Power Window Master Switch last Wednesday, October 10, 2012. This is part of a global campaign that affects 7.43 million vehicles worldwide to fix power window switches that may get stuck, produce smoke, and potentially cause a fire. Affecting more than a dozen models globally, the local recall covers the Camry, Corolla, RAV4, Vios, and Yaris. There has, however, been no reports of major injuries from the problem.

Picking from both ends of the spectrum, Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) recently launched updated versions of what are the largest and smallest vehicles in their line-up. With enhancements made both inside and out, the Land Cruiser 200 and Yaris are new again for 2012.

New Land Cruiser 200
Toyota's full-fledged SUV returns with a more luxurious interior and an even more dignified tough exterior. And after a good workout, the Land Cruiser 200 now flexes more muscle with its new brawny front and rear bumpers. Upfront, it receives a reshaped grill, new Bi-HID projector head lamps with LED daytime running lights, and head lamp washers. And to keep up with today's fashion, it now wears LED rear combination lamps, side mirror-mounted turn signals, and fresh 18-inch aluminum wheels.
