Want to learn how to race cars the right way? Here's your chance. Tuason Racing School (TRS) is once again accepting enrollees for their 1-day Basic Circuit Racing Class this coming April. They'll teach you the basics on threshold braking, downshifting, racing line, and track lapping under the guidance of none-other-than multi-titled racing champion, JP Tuason.

All you need to have is a valid driver's license, ability to drive a manual transmission car, and P18,000 for the course fee. But for those who are underage and have no license, TRS is willing to make an exception. Just get a written consent and certification from either a parent or guardian stating that the enrollee knows how to drive.

Here we go again boys and girls. Tuason Racing School (TRS) is on the lookout for the next batch of Champions of the Future (COF). This grassroots training program will take aspiring kids aged 7 to 13 years old and turn them into real race car drives. Learn how to race go karts in a well-organized, cost-effective, safe, and fun environment that's created to bring out the driving talent in every child.

The Karting Clinics will be held at none other than the country's premier international go-kart track in Carmona, Cavite. There, students will be taught the basics of racing, racing discipline, and other techniques under the tutelage of multi-titled racing champion JP Tuason.

bcleg2_mainBridgestone puts its 4x4 and SUV tires where its mouth is by staging the second round of the Bridgestone Cup at the Clark International Speedway (CIS) last September. This leg is geared towards demonstrating the Dueler All-Terrain (A/T 697) and Dueler Mud-Terrain (M/T 673) tires, both for on-road and off-road use.

Organized by the Philippine Allied Enterprises Corp. (PAEC), Bridgestone Tires' official distributor in the country, two challenges were prepared to demonstrate the logic of using the right tire for the right “off-the-paved-road” driving condition. And to keep a level playing field, we were divided in to teams of two - one experienced driver matched with a less experienced one. As a veteran of the rough stuff, I was partnered with Kotse.com Assistant Editor, Carlo Sapera.

The Potenza S001 is currently Bridgestone's flagship high performance sports driving tire. Designed to provide optimum grip in both wet and dry conditions, improved traction and braking performance, and quiet high speed cruising, this makes it the perfect choice for some the world's fastest supercars. It's the same factory-fitted tires on the Ferrari 458 Italia, Aston Martin Rapide, and the Lexus LF-A. But that doesn't mean we need to buy a supercar just to experience the Potenza S001.

Philippine Allied Enterprises Corp. (PAEC), Bridgestone Tires' official distributor in the country, recently launched the Bridgestone Cup - a three part invitational race series where we put their best tires to the test, in terms of track performance, off road abilities, and fuel economy savings.

The first round was a performance challenge held at the Batangas Racing Circuit (BRC) last August. Organized by Tuason Racing School (TRS), it was the perfect chance for us to push their new Potenza S001 to the limits even if we can't afford a supercar. And what best way to do so than in a brand new Toyota 86 and BMW 118d Sport Line.

After a great first outing at the famed Nürburgring in Germany, Tuason Racing School (TRS) founder and President, JP Tuason was invited to return to the next round of the Porsche Sports Cup, scheduled on August 3 to 5, at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium - the very same track used in the Formula 1 Grand Prix calendar.

Tuason will drive a 2011-spec Porsche 911 GT3 prepared by G-Force Racing Academy. The multi-awarded racecar driver is hoping to do a repeat performance of his previous race where he posted the best time in his division.

Flynn Jackes is not your typical 9-year-old boy. He races go karts in his free time and began his racing career back in 2010 at the Castrol Champions of the Future karting program - the grassroots karting program of Tuason Racing School (TRS). And last July 1, 2012, Jackes made history by winning the Asian Karting Open Championships (AKOC) - Mini Rock Division in Macau. He was also the only Filipino to finish in the top three spots of the karting series.

With a mere one point lead against closest-rival Bobby Horrigan, it was all or nothing for championship leader Charlie Cojuanco during the third and final leg of the 2011 TRS Cup powered by the Ford Fiesta last January 29, 2012 at the Batangas Racing Circuit. The race weekend also saw some new faces lining up on the grid: Mike Lagman was in the MCGP Fiesta vacated by Benjo Bernabe, while Korean Mickey Kim drove his brand-spanking new Team Auto Access Fiesta.

Things were looking good from the very beginning for Bobby Horrigan, having qualified for pole position with a lap time of 2:07.799. Mickey Kim also surprised spectators on his debut outing, qualifying in second. Conjuanco, on the other hand, had a lot of ground to make up in the race with his 2:09.250 lap, which was only good enough for fifth place.
