Best of Super Bowl XLVII's car ads: Get Excited
It’s that time of year again for the biggest American football game of the year. As with most other advertisers on TV, car brands are no different at making witty, memorable campaigns that go viral during the season. Does anybody remember Adriana Lima’s five-hour video for Kia in 2012? There may not be as many viral characters - and scantily clad women - at the 2013 Super Bowl compared to last year, but the ads are nonetheless just as witty. Kaley Cuoco from The Big Bang Theory made an appearance as a purple-suited genie for one car brand this year; can you guess which one? But nothing beats Mercedes-Benz's star-studded cast which includes Kate Upton, Usher, and Willem Dafoe. And while they didn't have any Hollywood superstars, Hyundai was not letting themselves be left behind by coming up with no less than five videos this year.
For the avid couch potato who doesn’t follow sports, the viral Super Bowl ads can only be rivaled by the game’s halftime show. This year, Beyonce put her fierce on and showed the stadium who run the world. The Destiny’s Child tripled the excitement, especially for kids of the 90’s and early 2000’s.

“Racing with Legends” movie documents the Golden Age of Philippine motorsports (w/ video)

If you're old enough to be into motorsports back in the 60's and 70's in the Philippines, then you should know great names such as Pocholo Ramirez, Dante Silverio, and Mandy Eduque amongst others. You might also be one of the lucky few who have experienced the thrill of the Manila Grand Prix, Greenhills Grand Prix, and The Gedol Great Philippine Rally in the flesh. But for those who weren't even born yet at the time or the few who want to relieve the the experience, here's your chance to rediscover the golden age of Philippine motorsport.
Making its premier on the big screen on November 28, 2012, “Racing with Legends” is a one-hour movie documentary that tells the tale of how motor racing began in the Philippines.

Best of Super Bowl XLVI's car ads: A show in their own right

For those of us who aren’t quite sports fans, more so fans of American football leagues, the highlight of Super Bowl XLVI may be one of two things: Madonna's epic half-time show or the heap of witty car advertisements. Other than Christina Aguilera’s American national anthem faux pas, last year’s Super Bowl was a good season for commercials. And who can forget the sudden eruption of the hunky “Old Spice Guy” and the adorable “Darth Vader Kid?”
There were some familiar themes this year while others welcomed new faces. For instance, men probably gave a sigh of relief when Adriana Lima shows off her angelic physique for Kia. Sorry ladies, Isaiah Mustafa’s screen time had passed. Acura and Honda, on the other hand, recruited the services of Jerry Seinfeld and Matthew Broderick for their star-studded show. Without further adieu, let’s take a look at some of the best car commercials from the Super Bowl XLVI 2012.
