The boys from Hill Climb Club of the Philippines tackled the slopes of San Fernando, La Union once again to flag-off Round 2 of the 2011 Castrol Edge Hill Climb Series last 7th of August 2011. Run on a repeat of Round 1's stage, each competitor from the 38 car grid got an extra run this time where two of their best heats were totalled and classified. And despite the changing weather conditions, only one name ruled the time sheets yet again.

Even with his trusty green Mark Young Racing Honda CRX out in the sidelines, Carlos Antos quickly found his mountain legs in a borrowed 1800cc Honda Civic EG from teammate Alfie Concepcion. He reigned supreme by putting down a 3 minute 3.35 second run, besting his nearest competitor by a whopping 6 seconds. Giving a close chase was Jimson Balmeo, who strengthened his lead in Group 3 with a time of 3 minutes 9.53 seconds and registered as the 2nd Best Time of the day behind Anton.

Piloting the British green Mark Young Racing Honda CRX, Carlos Anton proved once again why he's National Champion at the season opener of the 2011 Hill Climb Series powered by Castrol EDGE held last July 3, 2011. Besting a grid of almost forty competitors from Baguio City and La Union, Anton reached for the sky up the twisty 2-kilometer stage of the historic Bacsil Ridge in the outskirts of San Fernando, La Union with the day's best time of 1 minute 31.18 seconds, 4 seconds clear of his nearest rival.

As seen in previous seasons, drivers from Benguet continued to reign supreme on the mountain roads, dominating the top of the time sheets. But feisty drivers from San Fernano, led by Pancake Pimintel and Umesh Raimalan, put on a strong finish to show that the speedsters from La Union are ready to take the fight to their turf. In fact, the campaign from La Union is getting much stronger with 12 drivers from the province competing in this round (double from last year's roster) to challenge the boys from Benguet.
