Goodyear's 2012 Bayani ng Kalsada now accepting nominations
Strengthening their commitment to road safety, Goodyear is once again accepting nominations for the 2012 edition of their Bayani ng Kalsada campaign - a social program that recognizes courageous acts of service and random acts of kindness from everyday Filipino motorists.
Now on its sixth year, the 2012 Goodyear Bayani ng Kalsada runs from August to November 30, 2012, and nomination forms are available in all Goodyear Servitek, Goodyear Autocare, and TyrePro stores nationwide. As in previous years, a dedicated search committee will actively be on the lookout for road heroes all over the country. But of course, everyone is also encouraged to nominate their own road heroes - a local driver who have gone out of his or her way to secure the safety of someone in need.

The deadline of entries for Total's Drive City Challenge has been extended up to September 2, 2012. Likewise, the driving competition event has been moved to September 15, 2012.
Remember the countless moments when a jeepney stops right in front of you to load or unload in the middle of the road? Or maybe the times when you're cut-off by a bus along EDSA? How bout when you curse like hell at those pesky pedestrians who cross under the footbridge? Well, driving in the metropolis day in and day out takes a lot of patience. It involves dealing with other motorists fighting for their share of precious road space. That's exactly why Total Philippines took the initiative and created the Total Drive City Challenge to see just how well we deal with these scenarios. Plus they'll give you the chance to win P30,000 if you ace the test.

Hyundai Sand.Sea.Sky. Is calling all young, outspoken, and aspiring non-professional filmmakers to join the Hyundai Short F.I.L.M. (Film, Innovation, Life, and Motion) filmmaking competition and get the chance to (1) meet renowned and multi-awarded filmmaker Brilliante Mendoza, (2) produce their own short film to be shown on the big screen, and (3) win cash prizes. Just like what happened in Ondoy, countless vehicles were damaged by floodwater at the height of a hyperactive Southwest Monsoon that hit Luzon in early August. Thus, Ford Philippines and its dealer network are now offering special repair discounts to help their flood-affected customers.
Customers with flood-damaged Fords are entitled to a special 20% discount on flood-related parts (customer-paid) and 15% discount for insurance-paid parts. On top of that, they get an additional 10% discount on labor courtesy of Ford's authorized dealer network.
