“We have retained the number one position in the premium luxury segment mainly because of the BMW products which are the core of the company’s momentum and the outstanding quality of our service to the Filipino market. We credit our success to the company’s unceasing focus on innovation and dynamism and we will continue to strive to meet our customers’ high demands and standards and maintain our leadership in the segment,” said ACC President Maricar Parco.
Demand for BMWs increased in the second quarter of 2012 which resulted into a 30% year-to-date market share. This trend was mostly driven by the strong sales of the all-new 3 Series and 5 Series.
Launched last May, the sixth generation 3 Series continues to be BMW's biggest volume driver and segment leader with an exceptional 43% increase in month-on-month sales. Meanwhile, the 5 Series dominated its own segment with a 69% month-on-month sales growth.
Apart from sales, ACC is also expanding their dealership network around the country. They recently held a groundbreaking ceremony for their latest showroom in Auto Allee BME at Eton Centris, North EDSA. This is ACC's fourth dealer in Metro Manila and should open its doors in February 2013. Outside the Metro, ACC is slated to launch its Cebu dealership in September and hold the inauguration for its Bacolod dealership in the same month. This brings the tally of BMW Dealerships to seven nationwide.
