Three years since its last update, Toyota has finally revealed its new facelifted Estima, otherwise known as the Previa in other countries including the Philippines. And in those three years, its image has changed from an elegant MPV to a more aggressive and sportier-looking mini-van, making it a lot more attractive not just for soccer moms.

The new Estima has been given an updated front end with a lot of angular detailing on the bumper and grill that's so aggressive, it puts other sports coupes to shame. The V6 version even comes with huge air intake upfront that could swallow pedestrians whole. Its front headlights have been likewise reshaped to give it more attitude. However, the rear's sleek silhouette remains untouched, except for the addition of a rear spoiler.

Engine options are the still the same as before. You can choose from either a 2.4 liter four cylinder 2AZ-FE engine producing 170 horsepower with a CVT gearbox or the top-of-the-line 280 horsepower 3.5 liter V6 partnered with a 6-speed automatic transmission.

Of course, various safety features that were already on the pre-facelift Estima can still be found in its new model such as the Lane-Keep Assist (LKA) system, Adaptive Front-Lighting System, and the new S-VSC system - an enhancement from the regular VSC System that adjusts steering torque to help stabilize the car.

At last, Toyota has revamped the Estima's image to make it stand out from your regular soccer mom MPV. In fact, with its handsome new looks, even dad wouldn't be able to resist driving it. Now all it needs is a set of 20-inch chrome VIP rims and you'll be ready to hit the bright city streets at night.

Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) has given no indications yet of bringing the model here.
