Over 100 cars lined-up on the strip last March 17, 2012 at the Clark International Speedway (CIS) to take on Emperor Motorsports and Speedlab's 0 - 400 Challenge. And with the cue to the drag's staging lights stretching as long as the drag race itself, all the competitors really had to get everything right to be the fastest on the quarter mile. While on the other side of the track, Car Porn Racing was also burning up some rubber as their cars went sideways at Drift Fest.

A good majority of the day's runners comprised of Honda Civic's representing five of its generations, from the EF, all the way to the FD. There were also quite a few Lancer Evo's, Impreza's, and Corolla's on the roster, plus Vannitec Racing's ballistic lime green Mitsubishi Cyborg. And the big block beasts from the Angeles Hot Rod Association (AHRA) had everyone's hearts pumping as they rumbled on the drag strip. But the stars of the show were the supercars in attendance, headed by Emperor Motorsports' own red “Dadzilla” Nissan GTR.

Drift Fest by Car Porn Racing
Headed by the Drift King himself, Ian King, novice and pros burned some serious rubber on the CIS' South Short Course. The pros braved the high entry speeds required of the track's long sweeper, while the novices clashed on the chicanes. And by using 'Balikbayan Boxes' to stand in as crash-friendly clipping points, the drivers had no fears to push their machines right on the very edge. Judged by experienced drifters Kim Garcia, Kevin Tayao, and Paolo Arespacochaga, the action-filled day truly became a sideways circus.
