Ford now offers the all-new Fiesta in three new flavors

fiesta_sportplusIt’s just a little over a year old, but Ford Philippines is already giving the Fiesta three new flavors to keep the line-up fresh. Making its official public debut at Ford Club Philippines' (FCP) 10th anniversary celebration last February 25, 2012, the blue oval brand's best-selling nameplate now comes as a 1.6L Fiesta Sport Plus hatchback and a 1.4L Fiesta Trend with an automatic transmission in both hatchback and sedan forms. On top of the new variants, Ford is also giving its 1.6L Fiesta Trend a fresh set of upgrades.

The range-topping 1.6L Fiesta Sport Plus is a more athletic version of its standard 'Sport' sibling with the addition of new front and rear bumpers. It also scores a set of leather-trimmed seats for that added touch of luxury. Of course, it retains Ford's sporty six-speed dual-clutch automatic PowerShift transmission.

And if you've been eyeing on the 1.4L Fiesta, but can't drive stick, well, Ford is now offering the Trend hatchback and sedan with an automatic transmission.

“The all-new Fiesta has become one of the clear leaders of the small car segment, and we are excited to be expanding our Fiesta offering and giving customers even more choice with the lineup of this class-leading vehicle,” said Vinay Piparsania, Vice President, Marketing and Sales of Ford Group Philippines.

“With the addition of the 1.6L Fiesta Sport Plus and 1.4L Fiesta Trend AT in both hatchback and sedan body styles, the All-New Fiesta will continue to connect with Filipino customers in so many new, exciting and different ways,” Piparsania added.

In addition to the three fresh Fiesta's, the updated 1.6L Fiesta Trend hatchback and sedan are now equipped with goodies that were once only available with the Fiesta Sport. It gets the complete Connectivity package upgrade that includes Voice Command, Bluetooth connectivity, and a six speaker audio system. Plus, a front passenger-side airbag has been added as standard safety equipment.

At P854,000, the new Fiesta 1.6L Sport Plus is only P20,000 more expensive than the standard 'Sport' and comes in four cool colors - Chili Orange, Aurora Blue, Black Mica, and Arctic White. The new Fiesta 1.4L Trend A/T hachback and sedan, on the other hand, are priced at P739,000 and P729,000, respectively.

See all the new Ford Fiesta variants, with the full line-up of Fiesta’s, at the 2012 Manila International Auto Show on March 29 to April 1, 2012 at the World Trade Center in Pasay City.
