Overall, the collective sales growth summed up a modest 5% rise compared to the month of March, with a total of 1,707 units sold in April. This translates to a year-to-date (y-t-d) of 3% or a total of 6,419 vehicles.
According to HARI President and CEO Ms. Fe Perez-Agudo, the positive figures Hyundai gained is evidence that the Filipinos are more concerned about fuel-efficiency and the carbon footprint they leave behind. “We, at HARI, are one with Hyundai Motor Company in keeping to our promise of responsible motoring by continuing to offer vehicles powered by Hyundai’s newest in eco-saving technologies,” said Ms. Fe Perez-Agudo. One of these breakthrough energy-efficient innovations is what Hyundai calls “Blue Drive,” which is now equipped in the Accent, Sonata, Tuscon, Santa Fe, and even the newly-launched 2011 Elantra. “We trust that Filipino motorists will continue to trust that Hyundai will deliver in pursuit of our collective aim for sustainability,” she added.
Considering that the 2011 Elantra will only begin rolling off the dealerships this May, there’s a big likelihood that the sales numbers will keep on growing. Surely, the folks behind the brand are doing more than just a great job. And with such positive results, do we smell a big fat mid-year bonus for the guys in HARI? Well, they sure do hope so!
