Ford Group Philippines (FGP) continues to raise the bar of its business class line-up with the launch of its 2011 Ford Expedition XLT EL (Extended Length) and Ford Expedition XLT, which exclusively feature a wealth of convenience options giving the ultimate luxurious feel and drive.

The 2011 Ford Expedition Extended Length XLT commands attention with its sophisticated lines and bold design, favored by full-size SUV-segment customers. It sports 20 inch premium wheels for a bolder appearance, and the upgraded 'Extended Length' version adds 14.8 inches to the Expedition's overall length for a spacious interior, which includes 130.8 cubic feet of cargo space.

The 2011 Expedition XLT and XLT EL are powered by the proven 5.4 liter Triton™ V8 engine that's E-85 Flex Fuel ready and combined with a 6 speed automatic transmission. Producing 300 horsepower and 494 Nm of torque make it the best tow-rating in its class of up to 4,173 kg. Having a wide 6.02:1 gear ratio and two overdrive gears (fifth and sixth), the Expedition XLT offers improved shift quality, faster acceleration and drive quality.

Abounded by technology, the Expedition helps keep its passengers connected. SYNC, Ford’s industry-exclusive voice activated hands-free infotainment system, allows passengers to connect their mobile phones and digital players via Bluetooth. And with MyKey™, the driver can program the vehicle message center to add driving warning systems to aid road safety such as a Belt-Minder® chime, Traction control system, speed alert chime, and a top speed limiter.

The Expedition is also fitted with an Easy Fuel Capless Fuel Filter, another innovation from Ford, that eliminates the inconvenience of closing the gas cap after fueling. This technology helps prevent emissions from escaping, making the Ford Expedition more fuel-efficient.

This best-in-class vehicle also includes, AdvanceTrac® with RSC® (Roll Stability Control) for vehicle control, a four-wheel disc brakes with ABS, traction control, Trailer Sway Control and Safety Canopy® System for proven stability control, front-seat side airbags, Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), rear view camera, and Reverse Sensing System - all towards a safer and more confident drive. The 2011 Ford Expedition also comes in an XLT Standard Length variant, with a 2WD drivetrain, stone grey interior trim seats and 18 inch aluminum wheels. The 2011 Ford Expedition XLT and 2011 Ford Expedition XLT EL are priced at P2,990,000 and P3,299,000 respectively.
