The dressed-up and blinged-out X-Trail Highway Star sports redesigned front bumpers with new horizontal chrome accents. Even more chrome can be found on the thick new chrome-plated radiator grill. Plus, they've added a front chin and side skirts to complete the look. But according to NMPI's representative, the brushed aluminum hood, roof, and side mirrors displayed at the show are not included in the Highway Star package, neither are the large 20-inch rims from Concept One.
The X-trail Highway Star is powered by the same 2.5 liter mil found in the regular X-Trail, that bursts out 168 horses and 230 Nm of torque. It’s paired with Nissan’s XTRONIC Continuous Variable Transmission (CVT) and will be made available in either 2WD or electronically-controlled 4WD versions.
Meanwhile, the Grand Livina Highway Star, which debuted almost three months back, also showed its sparkles. It flaunts a shiny three-level chrome horizontal front grill, fog lights with chrome garnish, and shiny 15-inch six-spoke alloy wheels. Autech add-on kits were also employed to spruce up this MPV's aging looks, which include a sporty front bumper with large air intakes, side skirts, and a roof spoiler. All these come standard on the Elegance grade.
The Grand Livina Highway Star is tagged at P928,000 for the Luxury spec, while the Elegance grade, that include luxurious interior touches such as wood panel, silver accents, and beige leather seats, is priced at P1,008,000. On the flip side, NMPI is still in the process of finalizing the final SRP of the X-Trail Highway Star.
