All-new Ranger drives Ford's November sales figures through the roof

It's not quite the 1,248 units they achieved back in October, but this one's pretty close... real close. This November 2012, Ford Philippines reported overall retail sales of 1,225 units which is a mere 23 units shy from their best-ever monthly performance last month. That's a huge 46% increase from the same month last year and makes it the blue oval brand's second-best performance in history.

Mainly responsible for the strong output is their all-new Ranger pickup. This tough truck managed to deliver retail sales of 344 units which is also the model's all-time best and is a 22% jump over last year. Now, if only they can get their hands on more 3.2L versions then we might see the numbers shoot up to 500.

“Exceptional customer response to our newly launched One Ford vehicles like the all-new Ranger is helping drive record sales,” said Ford Group Philippines President Randy Krieger. “By offering customers the widest range of Ford vehicles ever in the Philippines, our brand is connecting with, and appealing to, a much wider variety of lives and lifestyles.”

November was also a great month for the all-new Explorer as it achieved its second-highest monthly sales since the model was launched last year. The V6 and EcoBoost versions logged a combined total of 107 units sold in the month. Meanwhile, the Fiesta still proves to be just as popular with 248 units sold or a 9% increase from the previous year and retains its title as the best-selling five-door hatchback in the country.

Last but not the least, Ford's iconic muscle car - the Mustang - charms 37 new happy owners with its muscles in November. That brings up the total to 130 units delivered into new stables in just three months.

Aside from their class-leading One Ford vehicles, Ford Philippines is also taking the brand into new territories by expanding their dealership network in the country. They're currently in the midst of opening 12 new authorized dealerships in just six months, the first two being the new Ford Pampanga and Ford Alabang. The project is expected to be completed by the second quarter of 2013.
