At last, Ford Philippines has managed to break the elusive 1,000 unit sales barrier. With a 50% year-over-year sales increase, the blue oval brand recorded a total sales of 1,248 units this October 2012. The closest they ever got to the magic number was way back in September 2011 when they sold 965 units.

Their best-ever monthly sales performance was driven by the strong demand across all their models. Heading the tally is the all-new Ford Ranger pickup truck, which also achieved its best-ever monthly performance. Sales jumped by 81% from the previous month to 282 units. Likewise, the Ford Everest posted its best monthly sales of the year with 311 units, proving just how good and versatile this SUV is.

The baby Fiesta is another achiever with sales rising 26% from last year to 307 units. Meanwhile, despite its age, the Escape is still moving just as well with a 67% sales increase to 142 units.

Two of Ford's newly-launched vehicles also helped the sales momentum growth. The all-new Focus increased 22% month-over-month with 62 units sold in October and the iconic Mustang has proved quite successful since deliveries began last month with 45 ponies finding their way into new homes.

“Customer response to our newly launched One Ford vehicles has been exceptional. Segment leading vehicles like the all-new Ranger, the technology packed all-new Focus, the all-new Explorer with EcoBoost, and the iconic Ford Mustang, are really helping widen the appeal of the Ford brand to so many new-to-Ford customers,” said Ford Philippines President Randy Krieger.

Ford also celebrated the opening of Ford Cainta in October, which is the first of 12 new authorized dealerships opening over the next six months to support the company’s aggressive growth plan in the Philippines.
